This is one of the best new records I’ve heard in quite a while, and I’m sure it’s gonna be seen in a lot of “best of 2012″-charts at the end of the year. Nicolas Jaar and Dave Harrington have created a minimal and raw expression which still manages to submerge a vast array of influences and genres into their bleak mix. I’m betting it will be fun to read the music journalists attempts at summarizing this (Juno are taking a shot and listing it as deep house). This is the first track off their 3-track 10″ and if I was to give you a hint of what to expect, I’d say that they’ve been listening to a lot of this guy.
